Carbon Fiber Finns (Blades) MANTRA key features:

1) 100% IM7 carbon fiber.

2) The material used is 100% Carbon Prepreg made with a melt impregnation system, using a micro-cured tetrafunctional epoxy resin.

3) 3D-Tech: Proprietary technology, of CETMA COMPOSITES exclusive know-how, with high pressure, high temperature and high degree of applied vacuum, leading to a component with 0% void level, without defects, with a uniform matrix/reinforcement ratio throughout the blade.

4) FEM Design: MANTRA blades are optimized through precise design using Finite Element Softwares (FEM). The Designtrough FEM software allows an optimized distribution of the stiffness, with the aim of obtaining a deformation that ensures the maximum hydrodynamic efficiency.

5) Signature model: developed in collaboration with world champion CWT bi finn Michele Giurgola.

6) DRS (Dynamic Resonance System) innovative and exclusive CETMA COMPOSITES system. DRS means that MANTRA blades are designed to reach resonance in a specific frequency of kicking. The resonance phenomenon is a well-known physical phenomenon that characterizes all the structures. To simplify, when a structure is forced at a frequency close to its natural frequency, the vibration amplitude increases in a very efficient way (low damping). By using distribution of the stiffness along the blade, we "tuned" the blades to specific natural frequencies. So when the blade is driven, by kicking, with a certain frequency range, the user feels a very low effort with an outrageous propulsion. This study is carried out using a laser vibrometer (LDV) to perform a modal analysis which helps in a stiffness distribution design of the blade.
